Terms & Conditions For Bespoke Orders

Terms and conditions for custom orders from BMC Cakery are detailed below and by placing an order with us it will be deemed that our terms and conditions have been agknowledged, understood and accepted in full.

 

Pricing, Payments & Deposits

Prices are given according to your specific design and are non-negotiable unless agreed by BMC Cakery when booking your order.

We will require a 50% non-refundable deposit when booking your order in. This payment confirms the quoted price and date of your order and will not be entered into the diary until such deposit has been received. Refunds on deposits will not be given unless there are exceptional circumstances in which you need to cancel. We ask that you give 7 days notice if choosing to cancel or postpone your order.

The final decision to process a refund will be made and given at the discretion of BMC Cakery.

The remaining balance will be required in full on receipt of your order. If paying by other methods i.e Bank Transfer or Paypal, please ensure you allow enough time for the transaction to process and the funds to clear.

 

Changes To Cakes 

Please inform us of any change requests to your order with 2 weeks notice prior to collection. We will do our best to make adaptations where possible but in the event that specific purchases have been made to complete your order, you may not be able to change certain parts of the design. Please note, you will be charged for any cost incurred to us on specific purchases made for additions like personalised toppers or decorations.

 

Allergies & Dietary Requirements

While every precaution is taken when handling allergens we regularly use all allergens in our kitchen. We cannot guarantee any bake to be 100% allergen free.

 

Non-Edible Items

Some bakes or cake designs will require a small amount of non-edible items such as dowelling, fresh flowers, card toppers, additional boards and ribbon. You will be advised on the placement of any additional item to your order but it is your responsibility to ensure these are removed prior to consumption.

 

Delivery & Collection 

We offer a local delivery service within the Ipswich area at a charge of £3.00 per order. If you require delivery please inform us of this when placing your order. Collection is available at the agreed time and date when placing the order. If you choose to collect your cake, please be aware that BMC Cakery takes no responsibility for any damage caused once your order leaves our premises and has exchanged hands.

 

Complaints & Issues

If you have an issue or complaint with your cake please notify us within 24 hours of collection. You will be required to return the cake in the same condition in which you received it for inspection. After investigation, we will notify you of any findings or outcome.

 

Failure To Fulfill

In the unlikely event we are unable to fulfill your order you will be notified at the first instance. BMC Cakery will not be held responsible for events outside of our control including but not limited to (illness, extreme weather, incorrect information given at the time of booking) If we are responsible and unable to fulfill your order please know that this will be under exceptional circumstances and you will be given a full refund for your order. Refunds otherwise will be granted based on the individual circumstance and liability on which we are unable to fulfill such order.
